Introducing The MyStaff app
August 7, 2024App named finalist for Best Use of Workplace Technology in Nursing Times awards
Diligram is thrilled to announce that the MyStaff app has been shortlisted for the Best Use of Workplace Technology category in this year’s Nursing Times Workforce Awards.
This prestigious award recognises organisations that are making a substantial contribution to addressing the challenges facing the nursing workforce.
Having already secured a Health Tech Digital Award, the MyStaff app has garnered further recognition from the healthcare community for its innovative approach to NHS document management and corporate governance.
Developed in partnership with NHS acute and community trusts, the app leverages AI and user-friendly technology, streamlining access to critical NHS policies, procedures and information and enhancing trust compliance.
More productive staff and better document compliance strengthen corporate governance
With Lord Darzi’s recent report highlighting the impact of poor digital maturity on NHS productivity, the MyStaff app contains many innovations that enable healthcare providers to leverage the latest technology to release staff capacity and deliver high standards of care.
The app significantly reduces the time staff waste finding essential documents, from 10 minutes to under 30 seconds, enabling nurses to spend more time providing direct patient care. Time-saving features such as QR code integration help nursing staff locate machines and access patient information leaflets to bring further productivity improvements for the workforce. Staff can bookmark ‘favourite’ documents that they use as part of their job and be automatically notified of any updates.
To streamline the NHS policy management process, machine learning supports automated document uploading and import. Document owners are automatically notified when information requires review. The app also identifies how much of a document has been read by staff, and when, helping to ensure higher standards of document compliance.
Thousands of staff rapidly embrace the ‘excellent’ document management app
As part of its work to design the app to meet the needs of two ‘early adopter’ NHS trusts, Diligram consolidated over 8,000 diverse policies, documents, and standard operating procedures (SOPs) from various sources into a standardised repository.
Thanks to this collaboration, over 20,000 NHS staff across these two trusts now rely on the MyStaff app every day to ensure they have the most up-to-date guidelines and SOPs, ensuring consistent and high-quality patient care. In the last three months of operation, the app has recorded almost 150,000 visits and 200,000 document views. Staff have praised the mobile-first digital corporate governance solution as ‘excellent’ and ‘critical for my job’.
The winners of the Nursing Times Workforce Awards will be announced on Thursday, November 28, 2024, at the Royal Lancaster Hotel in London during the seventh annual Workforce Summit & Awards. We eagerly await the results!
